Small Prius C completes Toyota's family of hybrids

The letter "c" represents "city" in the Prius c name. Designed to function as an urban-friendly vehicle with an engaging driving experience, hatchback utility, and a city fuel economy rating of 53 mpg, Prius c offers the highest city mpg rating of any vehicle without a plug.

Officials Say: No Electronic Defects in Toyota and Lexus Vehicles


"After a 10-month investigation requested by Congress, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and NASA, in two studies, now say they found no proof that electronic glitches or computer problems led to unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles."

Toyota Increases Its Presence at 2011 Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO, Ill., January 31, 2011
With the start of the Chicago Auto Show a little more than one week away, Toyota is close to completing the largest exhibit the automaker has ever built for an auto show in the United States.  The record-breaking 45,070-square-foot exhibit will highlight new and existing vehicles, as well as the technologies and safety systems that have enabled Toyota to become one of the most revered companies in the auto industry.

Toyota's North American Production Up 18 Percent in 2010

ERLANGER, Kentucky (January 27, 2011) ? Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) announced today that the company?s assembly plants produced 1,456,887 vehicles in 2010, an 18 percent increase compared to 2009.
